How does it work?

You make convenient, affordable payments to BridgeCare that are up to 50% less than your current monthly payment. BridgeCare pays your approved provider on time, in full each month.

Once your child is finished with preschool, you continue to make your low, monthly payment each month until your balance is paid off. There is no pre-payment penalty, and you can pay as much as you want each month

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a loan?

Yes, BridgeCare offers a unique, consumer loan design just for the specific use of pre-kindergarten learning and childcare needs. It is the only loan of its kind.

What is the interest rate?

Interest rates vary based on credit history and other factors. They also vary based on the amount of money borrowed and term of the loan. They range from 11.99%-17.99% (with autopay).

Do you accept credit cards?

We do not accept credit cards. At BridgeCare, we believe in responsible lending and setting our customers up for success during and after our loan term. Borrower payments are designed to be made each month at an amount that is affordable and that will limit the length of time need to pay the loan back.

How are you different from a personal loan?

Personal loans are generally in the form of installment loans, which means that the full funds are given all at once from the beginning of the term. This means that a set payment plan including interest and loan repayment begins right away. As a result, if interest rate, monthly payment amount and loan term length were all equal, a personal loan would end up costing twice as much in total interest.

How are you different from a HELOC?

A HELOC is a Home Equity Line of Credit. HELOC’s are available to homeowners that have enough equity ownership in their home to borrower against it at a relatively low interest rate. The interest rates are lower because the home is used as collateral. Most financial advisors believe that a HELOC should only be used for home improvement needs that add value to a home or else reserved for major financial emergencies.

HELOC’s also do not have the ease and convenience of a BridgeCare Finance loan. Our easy, ‘set it and forget it’ payment plans make the busy and messy life of young parents simpler.

How are you different from a credit card?

BridgeCare’s financing plans are designed to provide an affordable payment plan for a set amount of time. This means that the loan is manageable and has a set end date. In comparison, credit cards have higher interest rates and no set schedule for repayment besides a very low monthly minimum. Unfortunately, many people end up carrying that debt for much longer than intended and pay very high amounts of interest as a result.

Additionally, credit cards do have their purpose for helping with cash flow and making obligations in times of financial stress. The high cost of childcare would quickly bring borrowers to their credit card limit. Therefore, it is advisable to reserve this line of credit for those times of need and use your BridgeCare Finance loan for childcare and preschool.

Do you fund private school?

BridgeCare does not currently offer funding for K-12 private schools. The challenge we are solving is that there are no affordable options for childcare and preschool for most middle-income families and the need is for a relatively short amount of time (less than five years). We don’t believe we could responsibly lend for K-12 full-time education at this time.
